Why Four Seasons Does Hawaii Best
When clients ask me where to stay in Hawai'i, my answer almost always starts with Four Seasons. And honestly, it usually ends there too.
I've booked Four Seasons properties across the Hawaiian Islands for families, honeymooners, and luxury travelers of every kind, and the consistency is something I genuinely can't find anywhere else. No matter which island, no matter the occasion, Four Seasons delivers a level of service, setting, and intention that just fits Hawai'i perfectly. The spirit of Aloha isn't just something you feel from the islands themselves. It's something Four Seasons has built into every property, every detail, every stay.
What makes this collection so special is that it isn't a brand that copies and pastes the same resort formula from one beach to the next. Every property reflects the island it lives on: the landscape, the culture, the pace. Hawai'i has five Four Seasons properties across four islands, and each one is completely its own experience.
Here's a look at what's waiting for you across the state, and how to start thinking about which one (or ones!) might be right for your trip.
Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea — Maui
Maui is the most popular of the Hawaiian Islands for a reason, and Four Seasons Maui at Wailea is a big part of why. Set directly on Wailea Beach with sweeping views of the Pacific and the neighboring islands, this is an open-air beachfront resort that feels glamorous and grounded at the same time.
The dining alone is worth the trip: Spago Maui, Ferraro's Bar e Ristorante right on the ocean, Duo Steak and Seafood, and a new sushi concept, KOMO. And if wellness is on your radar, the brand-new Spa & Wellness Centre opening July 1, 2026 is a major draw, featuring a co-ed Aquathermal experience and a hyperbaric chamber as part of a multi-million-dollar resort transformation. The cultural programming here is also something I love highlighting for clients. Cultural Director Aunty Mopsie has created a collection of complimentary experiences for all ages that connect guests to real Hawaiian traditions, not the watered-down resort version, but the genuine article.
Best for: families, couples, first-time Hawai'i visitors, honeymooners
Current offer: The Experience More – Spending Credit gives you $125 per night in a guest room or $200 per night in a suite to use toward dining, wellness, and curated experiences. It's one of the most flexible ways to add real value to your stay. (Valid May 11, 2026 – Dec 31, 2028, 4-night minimum)

Four Seasons Resort Hualalai — Big Island
If Maui is Hawai'i's glamorous side, Hualalai is its soul. Nestled between pristine beaches and dramatic black-lava landscapes on the Kohala Coast of the Big Island, this resort feels like it was designed for people who want to be truly immersed in Hawai'i, not just near it.
What sets Hualalai apart is how experiential it is. The Kings Pond, a stunning brackish water aquarium fed directly by the ocean, lets guests snorkel alongside tropical fish and eagle rays right on the property. The Hualalai Spa is the only spa on the Big Island to earn a Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star honor. Dining this summer is genuinely exciting: Beach Tree Restaurant, Miller & Lux Hualalai with Chef Tyler Florence, NOIO (a new sushi lounge and omakase concept), and a La Tavola Italiana family-style dinner experience on Thursday evenings.
For families, Hualalai is one of those properties where kids are as well taken care of as adults, with Kids For All Seasons programming, summer camps, and even a brand-new toddler program inspired by Hawaiian culture launching this summer. And getting here is easier than most people expect. Kona International Airport (KOA) offers nonstop service from 21 airports, including Los Angeles, Seattle, San Francisco, and Denver.
Best for: families, luxury travelers, couples looking for something intimate and immersive
Current offer: The Experience More – Spending Credit gives you $200 per night in a guest room or $400 per night in a suite toward dining, wellness, and on-property experiences. (Valid May 11, 2026 – Dec 31, 2028, 4-night minimum)

Four Seasons Resort Lānaʻi — Lānaʻi
If you're looking for a Hawai'i experience that feels completely removed from the ordinary, Lānaʻi is it. The least inhabited of Hawai'i's major islands, Lānaʻi has just over 3,000 residents and is one of the most extraordinary resorts in the entire state.
Four Seasons Lānaʻi sits on the island's southeastern coast at Hulopoe Bay, a protected marine sanctuary where the water is some of the clearest you'll find anywhere in Hawai'i. The 213 rooms and 45 suites are spread across low-rise buildings along the Pacific coastline, giving it a residential, private feel that larger resorts simply can't replicate.
The dining is world-class: Nobu Lānaʻi for Japanese-Peruvian fusion with Pacific views, and the newly opened Osteria Mozza Lānaʻi by acclaimed Chef Nancy Silverton, serving refined Italian cuisine made with fresh island ingredients. The property also has its own private observatory, the only one of its kind in Hawai'i, making for a stargazing experience you won't find anywhere else in the state. Getting here is easier than you'd think, too. Round-trip flights from Honolulu on Lānaʻi Air are included with all resort bookings through December 31, 2027, and there's a private lounge and dedicated TSA screening at HNL to make the connection seamless.
Best for: couples, honeymooners, repeat Hawai'i visitors ready for something different, anyone craving true seclusion
Current offer: The Experience More – Spending Credit gives you $200 per night in a guest room or $400 per night in a suite, applicable toward dining, wellness, spa, and island experiences — plus round-trip flights from Honolulu are included. (Valid May 11, 2026 – Dec 31, 2027, 3-night minimum)

Sensei Lānaʻi, A Four Seasons Resort— Lānaʻi
Worth a mention in its own category: Sensei Lānaʻi is a wellness retreat unlike anything else in Hawai'i. Also on the island of Lānaʻi and operated by Four Seasons, it's designed around three pillars: Move, Nourish, and Rest, with personalized programming guided by practitioners trained in nutrition, exercise physiology, and stress management. Dining at Sensei by Nobu is rooted in clean, locally sourced cuisine, and the onsen garden (eight heated soaking pools set among waterfalls and lush greenery) is something guests talk about long after they leave.
If you have someone in your life who genuinely needs to reset, this is where I'd send them.

Four Seasons Resort O'ahu at Ko Olina — O'ahu
O'ahu is where most Hawai'i trips begin, and Four Seasons Ko Olina gives you a great reason to make it the whole trip. Situated on O'ahu's western coastline, far from the bustle of Waikiki, Ko Olina has a white-sand beach, four pools (including an adults-only infinity pool), and a pace that feels worlds apart from Honolulu, even though you're only about 30 minutes away.
The cultural programming here is particularly rich. The resort taps into the storytellers, artisans, and living legends of O'ahu's western coast through an ongoing weekly series covering Polynesian navigation, lei making, lauahala weaving, hula, and resin painting. For something truly unforgettable, they also offer a Pearl Harbor Warbird Legacy Flight aboard a historic U.S. Navy aircraft, an experience that's equal parts adventure and history. Dining includes Noe for Southern Italian cuisine, Mina's Fish House for world-class seafood, and Manalo Lounge for cocktail hour.
Best for: families, first-time Hawai'i visitors, travelers who want the O'ahu experience without the Waikiki crowds
Current offer: The Experience More – Spending Credit gives you $200 per night in a guest room or $400 per night in a suite toward dining, wellness, and curated on-property experiences. (Valid May 11 – Dec 23, 2026, 3-night minimum)

The Preferred Partner Difference
Here's something worth knowing: as a Four Seasons Preferred Partner advisor, I can add exclusive benefits to your reservation that simply aren't available when booking directly, including complimentary daily breakfast for two, resort credit, and priority room upgrades. And in many cases, these benefits can be combined with current offers like the Experience More Spending Credit, meaning you get even more value by booking through me.
The best part? You pay the same rate you'd find on Four Seasons' website. There's no markup, no booking fee, just a better stay.
Every traveler is different, and the right Four Seasons Hawai'i experience depends entirely on what you're looking for. The energy of Maui, the soul of the Big Island, the seclusion of Lānaʻi, or the cultural richness of O'ahu. Figuring that out together is exactly what I'm here for.
