Meet Carolyn!
I come from a world where the details have to be right. As an Executive Assistant to ultra-high-net-worth clients in Baltimore and New York, I managed travel at a level most people don't even know exists. Private charters, luxury hotels, complex family itineraries across multiple continents. It was high stakes, fast moving, and I loved every second of it.
My love of travel started long before that though. At 18, I took a five week trip to Greece and Albania and saw it all. The history, the beaches, the local culture that you only find when you really slow down and look. It completely changed how I view the world and what travel can actually be. That trip never left me.
I built CCT to bring all of that together. The professional expertise, the insider relationships, the obsessive attention to detail, all in service of one goal. Helping you experience a place that genuinely moves you.
I work with honeymooners, babymooners, busy families, and corporate travelers. What they all have in common is that they want to travel well and not spend their evenings buried in research tabs. Growing up in a big loud family taught me how to stay flexible, think fast, and never lose sight of what actually matters. I bring all of that to every single trip I plan.
Currently dreaming about:
Hawaii, always. But I'm also deep in planning mode for a surprise family trip in 2027 that I simply cannot talk about yet. So honey, if you're reading this, don't be mad at me. We're going somewhere with the baby!!!
Never traveling without:
My skincare routine, tailored to wherever I'm going. A face wash and makeup wipes are non-negotiable. I have rosacea and sensitive skin that reacts to literally every destination and climate, so I am always prepared. Keeping your skin hydrated on the road is so underrated.
My travel non-negotiable:
A direct flight, always. I will do everything in my power to make it happen. Even as a travel advisor, I have travel anxiety; so just sit me down, get me there, and let's go.
What most people don't know about booking travel:
You might find a great rate online, but a travel advisor can match that rate and add on perks like complimentary breakfast, a $100 resort credit, a room upgrade and more. Always double check with an advisor before you book. You're likely leaving something on the table.
The meal I still think about:
Every single meal in Costa Rica. The food there is so fresh and clean that I noticed a difference in my body and skin almost immediately. No bloating, real energy, and my rosacea cleared up within days. Two meals that will stay with me forever are (everything at) the Manzú restaurant at Nantipa on the Nicoya Peninsula, one of only five Blue Zones in the world, and a private six course dinner at the Ephemeral Table at Tabacón Thermal Resort, in a bungalow with a private chef, surrounded by the hot springs of the Arenal Volcano. In the jungle. Chef's kiss, literally.
The destination I keep recommending to everyone:
Costa Rica, without hesitation. The food, the people, the energy of that place. Everyone is so warm and welcoming and it is surprisingly affordable for how extraordinary it is. I tell people all the time… I would retire and live there forever if I could. Just go. Trust me.
