Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea:

The Only Guide You Need

If there is one resort in Hawai'i that I recommend more than any other, it is Four Seasons Maui at Wailea. I book this property for families, honeymooners, couples, and solo travelers, and the response is always the same: people leave wanting to go back.

Why Maui

Maui has something the other islands don't: everything. Dramatic volcanic landscapes, lush rainforests, the famous Road to Hana, world-class whale watching from December through April, and some of the most beautiful beaches in the Pacific. It is the island that can be as adventurous or as relaxing as you want it to be, sometimes in the same day.

Wailea is where you want to stay. Maui's most upscale resort community sits on the island's warm, sunny southwestern shore where it rarely rains, the beaches are wide and swimmable, and everything feels refined and intentional. Championship golf, luxury boutique shopping, and Maui's finest dining are all minutes away.

Four Seasons sits right at the heart of it, directly on Wailea Beach.

Why Four Seasons Maui

You may recognize it from a little show called The White Lotus. But long before that, Four Seasons Maui was already considered one of the finest resorts in Hawai'i, and right now it is in the middle of its most exciting transformation in years.

2026 is a landmark year for this property. The brand new Club Floor debuted this month with 26 completely reimagined rooms, suites, and a redesigned Club Lounge inspired by Hawaiian celestial navigation. A new Spa and Wellness Centre opens July 1st featuring a co-ed Aquathermal experience, hyperbaric chamber, and treatments that blend ancient Hawaiian healing with modern wellness. A Queen's Garden cultural sanctuary honoring Queen Lili'uokalani and a gourmet café by Madhappy are also on the way later this year. This property is having a moment, and it is a great time to visit.

The resort sits on 15 oceanfront acres with three pools including an adults-only infinity pool, four of Maui's most celebrated restaurants, and a Kids For All Seasons program that is genuinely one of the best in Hawai'i. Families, honeymooners, and everyone in between feel completely at home here.

The dining is worth a trip on its own. Spago by Wolfgang Puck, Ferraro's Bar e Ristorante (the only oceanfront open-air restaurant in Wailea), DUO Steak and Seafood, and KOMO, the resort's newest Japanese concept, are all on property. If I had one dinner to book here, it would be Ferraro's under the stars with the Pacific in front of you. There is nothing quite like it on the island.

Rooms start at 600 square feet with a private lanai. I always recommend an ocean view. At the top end, the Lokelani Presidential Three-Bedroom Suite stretches to 7,200 square feet with 180-degree views of the Pacific and neighboring islands. Whatever your budget, there is a room here that feels right.

Is Four Seasons Maui Right for You?

Four Seasons Maui works for just about everyone, and that is genuinely rare. Families love the kids programming and the beach. Honeymooners and couples love the suites, the dining, and Ferraro's at sunset. First-timers love how seamless it all feels. And repeat visitors who finally make the switch from other Wailea properties rarely look back.

Wailea is 25 to 30 minutes from Kahului Airport (OGG), with nonstop flights available from many mainland cities. If a Maui trip is on your radar, I would love to help make it happen.

xx,
